Mistigram: this #teletext close-up on a #zebra’s face was drawn by @atonalosprey and included in last month’s unthemed MIST0222 artpack collection, helping us to fulfil our duties of representing topics from A to Z. https://instagr.am/p/CbdWd1zODTI/
Mistigram: @AdelFaure’s uncoloured #ASCIIart adaptation of #VincentVanGogh’s 1888 painting “La Chambre à Arles”, depicting van Gogh’s bedroom in the Yellow House at 2, Place Lamartine in Arles, Bouches-du-Rhône, France… was included in last month’s MIST0222 artpack collection. https://instagr.am/p/CbdWK6Hu6ZR/
Mistigram: are you ready for the return to the office? We just shared this animated #ASCIIart piece by @joninscii last month, calling it “Omicron”, and already that variant is but a pleasant hazy memory, since supplanted by the aggressive BA.2. All the same, mask mandates, vaccine passports and working from home are being rolled back across the land, so … don’t forget to pack your facemask and maybe some SCUBA gear! This piece was included in last month’s MIST0222 artpack collection.
Mistigram: heeeeeere’s #Mario! Concluding our #MAR10 celebrations this year we share with you @minediru’s awesome and bizarre #pixelart conflation of #SuperMario with #JackTorrance from Stanley Kubrick’s 1980 movie #TheShining. This piece was included in our video games-themed MIST0921 artpack collection. https://instagr.am/p/Ca8RRUbBJ8z/
Mistigram: this #teletext portrait of a #ShyGuy, from 1988’s #SuperMario2, was drawn by @Horsenburger and included in the video games-themed MIST0919 artpack collection. Happy #MAR10! https://instagr.am/p/Ca8Q3oQhOwA/
Mistigram: here’s hoping your #MAR10 takes you to the highest heights, much as the #MagicCape took #Mario to blue skies in 1990’s #SuperMarioWorld for the SNES. This #Lego #pixelart rendition of his flying sprite was made by @lego48x48 and included in the video games-themed MIST0919 artpack collection. https://instagr.am/p/Ca8Qq3yBo3u/
Mistigram: Nintendo games would be pretty dire if it was all Mario all the time, so even today on #MAR10 we need to celebrate some of his colleagues and counterparts. Here is a #teletext portrait of his … sinister, yet oddly arousing meta-reflection, #Waluigi. This screen was drawn by @horsenburger and included in our video games-themed MIST0919 artpack collection. https://instagr.am/p/Ca8QNr3hA_y/
