MIST1024/PIZZATOE-AMY-QING_ZOMBIE

 Mistigram: Amy of Pizzatoe drew this #ASCIIart #Jiangshi (Chinese Qing dynasty #hoppingvampire) as a guest appearance in the spooky MIST1024 artpack collection released two years ago.  We hoped to repay the favour with Mist artists making guest appearances in the planned debut Pizzatoe release a year ago, but no one ever figured out how or why that one fell through.  On a still autumn night some say you can still hear them planning their artpack launch!

MIST1025/US-SHOEBODY

 Mistigram: this time last year, Cthulu was holed up in an agriturismo in rural Italy on a vacation, explaining to his family that while he had managed to duck responsibility for packaging the annual Mist Hallowe'en artpack for the first time in eleven years, that didn't relieve him of the duty to populate it with submissions... which is why when things got quiet after the magical Tuscan sunset, he could be found drawing colourful variations of the phrase #ShoebodyBop on his laptop. Sometimes you just have to love your family members unconditionally because no explanation will really suffice to understand what the heck they're up to.

The words look gnarly, but the words themselves aren't. WTF is up here? Cth was very taken by #DrueLanglois' 2022 demonic baptismal animation set to the song of the same name by the Minute Hour. He had roughed out a sketch from it depicting a cultist invokation which LDA and Zeus II later fleshed out taken in a very different direction. (Originally he had planned to depict a series of iconic moments from the music video, punctuated with permutations on its strange name, but Italy rudely interrupted this aspiration with a series of historical hilltop distractions.)

Maybe we'll see more Shoebody moments later this month, but this introductory portion was included in the MIST1025 artpack collection released a year ago.

 Mistigram: this monochrome #teletext portrait of #BelaLugosi in Universal's 1931 #Dracula movie was drawn by @horsenburger. It was included in the spooky MIST1025 artpack collection released one year ago this month. "There are far worse things awaiting man than death."

 Mistigram: this detailed monochrome #teletext skull was drawn by @atonalosprey (surely in some kind of conversation with bonemeister littlebitspace!) and included in the spooky MIST1023 artpack collection released three years ago this month.

 Mistigram: you might feel like a turd discovering that someone else at the costume party has the same costume as the one you thought would be very unique and original on you, but doubly so when your shared costume is literally the dookie emoji! This seasonal #ASCIIart comic strip, drawn by XTComics (now @earl.types.art), was included in the MIST1019 artpack collection released seven years ago this month.

 Mistigram: these micro #pixelart portraits of Harvey Spencer Stephens as juvenile Antichrist ("It's not a child") #DamienThorn, from Richard Donner's 1976 movie #TheOmen, were drawn by @stephanrewind and included in the MIST1018 artpack collection released 8 years ago this month.

 Mistigram: #LeonardoDaVinci, the original Renaissance man, who created the Mona Lisa and invented the helicopter, is here drawn in newschool #ASCIIart by @axbmusic. This portrait was included in last month's unthemed MIST0826 artpack collection.

 Mistigram: if you haven't yet enjoyed today's dose of ＣＯＮＴＥＮＴover social media, @atonalosprey is here to remedy this lack with his #teletext dispensation, now conveniently packaged in capsule form! This screen was included in last month's unthemed MIST0826 artpack collection.

MIST0826/CT-DIGITAL_ORCA

 Mistigram: in last month's unthemed MIST0826 artpack collection, Cthulu was explicitly looking to adapt imagery suggestive of Mist's origins in area code 604 (aka #Vancouver) and one place his search brought him was artist-author #DouglasCoupland's 2009 sculpture #DigitalOrca, installed in #CoalHarbour. In real life the killer whale is composed of black and white blocks, and ironically looks quite a bit more like #ANSIart in person than this rendition indicates.

Though the sculpture is located in the Downtown previously viewed from afar in Nitron's landscape yesterday, you will note that (coincidentally) the specific stretch of North Shore Mountains depicted in the far background is virtually identical in both works and can practically be made to overlap each other.

MIST0826/NI-KITSB

 Mistigram: Nitron visited area code 604, traditional stomping grounds of Mistigris, over the summer, and was moved to draw this view of Downtown Vancouver's West End (and the North Shore mountains behind it) across False Creek from Kits Beach on a forest fire smoky day. This hazy scene was included in last month's unthemed MIST0826 artpack collection.

 Mistigram: this screen may not look that intrinsically political to you, but @illarterate has here illustrated one of the planks of #CountBinface's recent campaign against Nigel Farage in Clacton, capping the temperature and price at which croissants are served and sold. Confusing and delicious! It tied for first place (with TeletextR's recently-shared "Bindependence" screen) in the #teletext compo at Ledbury's Field-FX demoparty this past summer, and was included in last month's unthemed MIST0826 artpack collection.

 Mistigram: I'm not exactly sure what this #ANSIart screen by @Mavenmob depicts, but I know that his works are often informed by music, so ... this just might be Mother Love Bone caught in the act of inventing grunge! This piece was included in last month's unthemed MIST0826 artpack collection.

 Mistigram: Rick has been running one BBS or another for 40 years now, a milestone celebrated by fellow SysOp Darkman Almighty in this #ANSIart screen of a desktop computer that might well have been there at the start of his spree. (We urge the caller to find a different coaster, however! Apparently there are WinXP boxes with built-in cupholders!) This piece was included in last month's unthemed MIST0826 artpack collection.

 Mistigram: #CountBinface, since making the revival of Ceefax one of his campaign pledges, has been beloved of the #teletext community, and they were prepared to endorse him this summer as he ran as the protest candidate against Nigel Farage in the parliamentary constituency of Clacton. He didn't win the seat, but his 2nd place ranking with over a quarter of the votes tallied rates him as the most successful novelty candidate in UK political history. This screen, drawn by TeletextR, was included in last month's unthemed MIST0826 artpack collection.

 Mistigram: it's always a good moment for a little textmode #surrealism! This monochrome screen, "Under the Spell", was drawn by @littlebitspace and won 3rd place in in 2025's @flashparty.ar #PETSCII compo, almost a year ago. It was also just included in the unthemed MIST0826 artpack collection.

 Mistigram: this pseudoreflective logo was submitted as monochrome #pixelart by @nouscentric, but Cthulu thought it could be easily adapted to textmode and given a #LiteBrite colour treatment for extra punch, so we ran it like this in last month's unthemed MIST0826 artpack collection.

Mistigram: for this year's 24th edition of the #TotalDOSCollection, VileR drew an #ANSIart scroller entirely concerned with time, as explored in classic computer games.
