Mistigram: my old friend Bus Ridin’ Fool is a wizard preparing custom emoji for use in a Slack context. This, perhaps the pinnacle of her craft, was a showboating recursive spelling out of the word “parrot” using a selection of animated rainbow parrot reactji. It was included in the MiST0417 April Fool’s artpack collection.
Mistigram: in memory of yesterday’s Covid-19 casualty, mathematician #JohnHortonConway, here’s an unreleased bit of promotional #GameOfLife output generated five years ago using the Software Toolworks’ 1985 “Golden Oldies” compilation (and then reversed). We weren’t sure precisely what space we hoped for Mistigris to occupy following its revival, but we knew we wanted it to straddle the worlds of games, computing and #textmode art.
