Mistigram: this coloured #ASCIIart logo for Polarity was drawn by Haquisaq (now aka @bryfacetron) as part of the Mistigris World Tour stop with Fire in April of 1997. https://instagr.am/p/CNjh40ojEu1/

Mistigram: he released art in Mistigris artpacks before our World Tour appearance with Fire in April of 1997 and he released art in Mistigris artpacks after… but in FIRE0497 The Extremist appeared as a Fire member. Here’s his #ANSIart logo for the BBS Chemical Warfare Incorporated, which looks to have been pretty “woke” by 1997 standards. Ahead of its time! https://instagr.am/p/CNjhaf8jRb2/

Mistigram: this #ANSIart Fire logo by LDA was somewhat of a tonal mismatch for Cthulu’s sonnet for last month’s FIRE-34 tribute artpack, with a bit too much of an anime feel, but it was nevertheless a great logo, still included on its own as a guest submission in that collection. https://instagr.am/p/CNhF5mssEnu/

Mistigram: there are precedents for Cthulu releasing illustrated poetry in Fire artpacks. This poem, at once gory and twee, was given its incredible setting by Fire senior staff @onlygenerated and included in the Mistigris World Tour stop there in April of 1997, 24 years ago. (It was also printed in the 1997 Kitsilano High School yearbook!) https://instagr.am/p/CNhFZrMLa-4/

Mistigram: LDA did great work on this Gothic calligraphy-inspired #ANSIart Fire logo on the bottom of his illustration of Cthulu’s sonnet in their guest submission to last month’s FIRE-34 artpack collection. Shout-outs to Fire Classic members! https://instagr.am/p/CNhDl4JlHlg/

Mistigram: after only one month, the merger between Mistigris and Fire was already wearing thin, but you know who said that time was relative? #AlbertEinstein of course, of whom there is vanishingly little #ANSIart drawn. This piece was drawn by Fire’s unique Prisonernumberone for Force Works BBS and appeared in the MIST0495 artpack collection 26 years ago to the month. We were never able to lure him out of retirement, but he did contribute a new drawing to last month’s FIRE-34 tribute artpack. https://instagr.am/p/CNhDUw_nXKW/
