MIST0920/FARRELL_LEGO-SPIRITED_AWAY-NO_FACE

Mistigram: this #Lego #pixelart piece by Farrell_Lego depicts a scene from #StudioGhibli's 2001 #SpiritedAway, with #NoFace, #Boh and #Haedori knitting under Zeniba's tutelage (just out of frame).  This piece was included in the film-themed MIST0920 artpack collection released five years ago this month.

MIST0825/HORSENBURGER-PONYO

Mistigram: another take on #StudioGhibli's 2008 #Ponyo, this time it is @horsenburger capturing in #teletext the moment when the little fishgirl declines Sōsuke's bread -- but the ham in his sandwich is another story. This screen was included in the new #anime-themed MIST0825 artpack collection.

MIST0920/FARRELL_LEGO-PONYO-B

Mistigram: @farrell_lego made this #Lego #pixelart portrait of #StudioGhibli's answer to #TheLittleMermaid, 2008's #anime #Ponyo. It was included in the movie-themed MIST0920 artpack collection released exactly five years ago.

MIST0825/CODEFENIX-SAMURAI-CHAMPLOO

Mistigram: this #ANSIart screen by Codefenix celebrates the 2004 series #SamuraiChamploo. It was included in the new #anime-themed MIST0825 artpack collection.

MIST0719/!HORSENBURGER-MYSTERIOUS_CITIES_OF_GOLD

Mistigram: the new MIST0825 artpack isn't the first time we've showcased #anime content, but previously it has been folded into collections of fanart about movies and TV series. This #teletext screen, drawn by @horsenburger , depicts #theGoldenCondor, an ancient flying machine from the 1982 series #TheMysteriousCitiesOfGold, and was included in the TV-themed MIST0719 artpack collection released six years ago last month.

MIST0825/CT-UNICO-CHAO

Mistigram: providing a little connective tissue between our #cat-filled July and our #anime August, here is a flat toon #ANSIart portrait of Katy (aka Chao) from 1981's The Fantastic Adventures of #Unico, based on the manga by #OsamuTezuka. Cthulu made this rather unlikely selection to adapt as Unico was the sole specimen of anime in his family's media collection growing up.

MIST0725/LOCKJA-ASCII_CATURDAY_10

Mistigram: is this #ASCIIart kitten simply cavorting with an #emoji ball of yarn on the rug, or are they actively unravelling the carpet?  I think the 'busted' expression on its face speaks volumes.  This piece by @Lockja was included in last month's #cat-themed MIST0725 artpack collection.
