Aaaand it’s that time of year again: time to dust off the holiday content which, while awesome year-round, is only appropriate in late December. This video combines footage of an early intro made by Dr. CPU in December of 1994 with a hits parade of other seasonal art and writing made by Mistigris members in that month, set to the soundtrack of the first movement of the Bells of Yule music disk, which was also first released in that month. Enjoy!

And finally, from December of 1994, we get caught up with today’s Mistigram posting – this sliiiightly pHUNKy ANSI art Mist logo by White Insanity. It’s a peculiar logo that came on top of a quite peculiar illustration which we will be sure to share with you down the line, once we’ve exhausted our supplies of “Mist” logos 8) Perplexing, but at least it’s got lots of personality!

Today, after nearly 22 years, I finally did see the lemur. (It’s in the illustration, not the logo.)

Today on Mistigram, a December 1994 ANSI art Mistigris recruitment promo by The Extremist, an homage to his compatriot Eerie and his legendary “Join Relic, Fucker!” campaign.

Today on Mistigram, this ANSI art Mist logo appeared atop a far more substantial and impressive piece by Diamond Traveler, our area code 418 ace in the hole, never known to have appeared in any others group’s artpacks. (Due to Instagram’s square aspect ratio demands, we only offer you this peek into the window at present.)

Especially seen at higher resolutions, this particular logo is resonant with the imagery of metal band logos, to which we say…

Today’s Mist Classic piece on Instagram: Eerie (whose work you can continue to appreciate today) was like our training wheels – a colleague of mine in iMPERiAL, minting the “Inspector Dangerfuck” series of ANSIs, he assisted my colleague Nitnatsnoc in getting the to-be-Mist-WHQ The Screaming Tomato up, contributing art to our first few collections and even establishing a 418 (Quebec City) division of Mistigris which continued sending meritorious computer art our way long after he’d parted ways (and was in fact actively aiding and abetting our local nemesis, Integrity, with ANSI we would have given our eyeteeth to present.)

We would have preferred an epic ANSI scroller to this, but as part of our mandate was to incubate and nurture attempts to broaden and diversify the possibilities of computer art, we welcomed this doodly piece of hirez (even if it may not have made the cut coming from an unappreciated genius with a lesser reputation 8)
