He was at loads of gigs in the ‘70s. If you didn’t see him there then you could consider the gig not worth going to. I saw a picture of him and thought we don’t let go as much as we get older or live in these Covid times. He was filmed at Blind Faith in Hyde Park in '69 freaking out topless. That is what that picture is about. He is now immortalised in teletext.”

Mistigram: our feverish administrator has a wheezing, bellows-driven sideline. Late in 2020 he was pleased to announce how his two great retrotech loves, the realm of the squeezebox and the world of textmode art, were coming together in the form of the 🪗 accordion emoji, successfully proposed to the Unicode Consortium by one of his colleagues. Solid gold #PETSCII artist @SnakePETsken approved, whereupon Cth noted that awesome as the accordion emoji is, it still wouldn’t hold a candle to accordion /PETSCII/. Snake retreated to his workshop and returned with this oddly familiar scene, a portrait of Cthulu performing one of his “Stupid Accordion Tricks” cover song videos, as he has done weekly for over two years now.

(The Stupid Accordion Trickster will be performing an hour-long video-stream of love songs for Valentine’s Day this Friday evening, from 5-6 pm PST!)
