Mistigram: #Samhain is a Gaelic holiday marking the end of the harvest season, coinciding with #Halloween. And here we have a @horsenburger #teletext portrait of #SamHain, a creepy little kid serving as the main monstrous antagonist in the 2007 horror film #TrickRTreat. This screen was included in the spooky new MIST1023 artpack collection.

Mistigram: all of today's posts feature the colour orange prominently. In this case however it is the slippery skinless red subject that really takes centre stage by storm. This creepy digital illustration is the handiwork of @mig_moog, his own seasonal greeting to the world, and is included in the spooky new MIST1023 artpack collection.

Mistigram: if it says "Happy Halloween" on the box, really today is the day to share it. @grymmjack has drawn for us this deliciously decaying seasonal visage! Your Jack 'o lantern is sharp and prim today but in a week this is what they will all be looking like, at which point there's nothing to do for it but get out the nutmeg. Mistigram: here we are at the night before Halloween, #DevilsNight, when #EricDraven and his fiancee were murdered -- and when he returned, a year later, to exact revenge upon their killers. This #teletext portrait of #BrandonLee as #TheCrow in Alex Proyas' 1994 movie of the same name was drawn by @AtonalOsprey and included in the spooky new MIST1023 artpack collection.

Mistigram: Halloween is very soon... and yet we waited almost until that spooky holiday was on the very threshold to share the creepy contents of our new MIST1023 artpack collection. I hear you ask: _but why?_ It turns out that many of the submissions to this artpack were doing double duty as entries competing in competitions in Argentina's @flashparty.ar demoparty which took place this weekend, eligible only if they had not previously been publicly shared. So we waited impatiently for the results to be posted, and the moment the compo results had been announced, our artpack went live. Mistigram: it's important to pace yourself for Halloween enjoyment (it wouldn't do to show up for Canadian Thanksgiving dinner looking like this guy! You got too hungry, bud!) but we're entering the final sprint now, and with it, the spooky new MIST1023 artpack collection goes live, featuring some 70 chilling specimens of vintage computer and text art. Mistigram: #TheBitchIsBack. This #ASCIIart adaptation of the most memorable scene from David Fincher's 1992 film #Alien3, featuring #SigourneyWeaver as Warrant Officer #EllenRipley and her xenomorph costar, was drawn by @AtonalOsprey and included in the MIST1022 artpack collection released one year ago this month.

Mistigram: @littlebitspace repeatedly drew this #asciiart #skull -- perhaps Freddie Mercury's? -- flapping its jaw over and over again, resulting in this animation loop titled "Bite the Dust". This piece was included in the MIST1022 artpack collection released one year ago.

Mistigram: I don't know if this #pirate #skull is a colleague of the Ghost Pirate LeChuck but if not they're definitely at least collegues in the same industry! This #ANSIart screen was adapted from a perler bead pattern (the original has a bit more seaweed in the background) by DW of Dark Systems BBS and was included in the MIST1022 artpack collection released one year ago this month.
