Mistigram: this is a #teletext adaptation (by @atonalosprey) of #SusanKare's #1bit #geisha illustration accompanying the initial release of Bill Atkinson's #MacPaint for the #AppleMacintosh 39 years ago in 1984. It was included in the new MIST1121 artpack collection.

Mistigram: this #ASCIIart logo by @littlebitspace ingeniously does what it says on the tin, illustrating how on cathode-ray tube displays the colour of every pixel on screen is influenced by electron beams firing to activate red, green and blue phosphor dots. Mistigram: the only way this #teletext screen of the #InformationSuperhighway could be more #retrofuturistic would be if the artist @blippypixel had drawn someone travelling it via surfboard. Mistigram: as per our tradition, we curated materials for our annual anniversary artpack due out in November of 2021, on themes of technology and cyberspace. Mistigram: from our very first MIST1094 artpack release way back 29 years ago, here's a, frankly, typographically rather bizarre #ANSIart logo by the 418 area code's Mist Classic font specialist The Naughty Tycoon, in promotion of the "Krasch" coding magazine.

Mistigram: our early revival flagbearer @Freddy43 cooked up an idea for an #ASCIIart logo printer we needed to prototype.  Unable to scrape together new imagery for the demonstration, we cannibalized a '90s piece by our own Dead Soul and included this animation in the MIST1117 artpack collection released six years ago this month.

Mistigram: congratulations to 2stoned for taking top honours in the recent Blender improvised computer art compo, drawing this #ANSIart screen to depict "#Borg / #parkour / #WWIII". It was a stiff order, but he was able to keep it locked with all the balls in the air. The BLNDR2023D artpack is now out, allowing you to study this winning entry in greater detail.

 Mistigram: for our 25th-anniversary extravaganza back in MIST1119, four years ago, we invited computer artists to put their own spin on a logo template provided by j33p33. @jellica_______ made some great #teletext interpretations, then (presumably in collaboration with his colleague DataDoor) cooked up some wild animated #PETSCII variants of them. This is basically what we look like in our dreams.

 Mistigram: this #ANSIart portrait of The #Kurgan, played by #ClancyBrown in the 1986 movie #Highlander, is the centrepiece of a scroller drawn by Zeus II to compete in the recent Flash Party demoparty, taking 8th place in its competition. Mistigram: #RememberRememberThe5thOfNovember... This take on the #GuyFawkes mask was drawn by @deep.one.insaniam on his #AcornElectron, in support of the Akron, Ohio chapter of #Anonymous, which operates an active copwatch program. This screen was released in the MIST1119 artpack collection.
