Mistigram: we don’t have a lot to work with here, but this is a piece of suspect #ANSIart depicting, I’m guessing, #TheIncredibleHulk (the ‘90s is when he turned grey and intelligent), drawn by (no doubt one of many people to use the nickname) Killahertz, released 23 years ago this month in the MIST0395 artpack collection, the month we consolidated our gains from our short-lived merger with Fire.
Not to put too fine a point on it, but this somewhat graceless illustration bears all the hallmarks (eg. exclusive use of full-cell blocks) of being the product of GIF2ANS, artificially stupid automated conversion of bitmap graphics to distinctively ugly #ANSIart. But there you can see him using half-blocks in the abysmal pseudo-graffiti logo on the bottom (for “the Phortress”), so perhaps it is possible for a human to engineer such an artless image without tool assistance, I don’t know. In any case, I recall he arrived as part of the Fire influx, so presumably he would have been vetted by their ANSI-gifted senior staff (then again, do I have a Donut Hole picture for you!) … it’s a moot point (or as I like to put it, “a boring mystery”) as I believe this was his only appearance in the entire Mistigris corpus. http://ift.tt/2D6ZDew
