Mi57iGR4M: the complete scale of the folly contained in this White Insanity image isn’t immediately apparent until you consider its mise-en-abyme nature: your eyes are watching a display showing a screenshot of a television newscast reporting what its TV camera saw while pointed at people using their smartphones to record footage of a fireworks display in the sky. Not only are you not seeing fireworks, you’re so many degrees removed from seeing them… Then again, neither are the phone-holders standing right underneath them.
