Mistigram: the name of this @blippypixel icescape, “-195°C”, raises some immediate questions about that rainbow. As a rainbow as we know it requires liquid water in the form of rain (which of course freezes at zero degrees), perhaps it is instead an icy snow dog? It does look very much like a rainbow however, leading me to a spoilsport SF conclusion (still better than the handwavey fantasy explanation: “magic!”) that the scene is taken on some distant world where the rain is not water but rather some supercooled liquid that manifests as a gas in terrestrial environments. Anyhow, this image was part of last weekend’s MIST1218 artpack collection of wintery, Christmassy computer artwork. Enjoy! https://ift.tt/2CrlEYw
