I know, it seems like only yesterday that we were all going to the theatres to hatewatch Cats, drunk and horny, when all of a sudden the projector broke and society was suddenly under indefinite lockdown quarantine. Not only haven’t we been to the movies since, but with them so completely supplanted by streaming video services in our regular routine, we’re starting to forget a little what the cinema experience was even like!

It’s been even longer for us here at Mistigris. We released a silver screen-themed artpack collection two years ago this month, but since then relevant material has just been building up under pressure, waiting for a chance to be seen before getting dumped direct-to-video. This month’s artpack will once again take film as its theme when it hits screens near you Sept 21st, but for the cineastes out there – it’s not too late to get yourself cast in a walk-on role!

Inspired by the Stardock’s CinePlex Videon Holo-Theatre from Tradewars 2002, LDA has graciously drawn us up a little ANSI art movie theatre screen, waiting for you to ascend to the projectionist’s booth and draw us little – 62x18 – small-scale title cards, iconic static scenes or brief animated sequences (if you really feel like you’ve got a blockbuster in you) from your favorite motion picture experiences.

If you want to see your name in lights, you can get your hands on the ANSI art frame by visiting http://bit.ly/mistmovies, or paste your own copy from our networked Moebius ANSI art server at psychosomatica.org (pw: mistifunk)
