ADVENT24/GOODBYE

Mistigram: this jolly radiology image by @littlebitspace was shown when departing the ADVENT24 #ANSIart #AdventCalendar BBS door. We have now shown its entire slate of daily screens, but it still offers a couple of further unshared illustrations.

ADVENT24/25_DEC24

Mistigram: The damn beautiful fool of an elf did it, he went too far this time, pulling off one final Christmas... but at what cost? This depiction of Santa's gift-wrapped funeral was drawn by @littlebitspace and LDA for this date in last year's ADVENT24 #ANSIart #AdventCalendar.

ADVENT24/24_DEC24

Mistigram: far from being localised entirely within anyone's kitchen, Codefenix of Constructive Chaos BBS drew this striking illustration of the #AuroraBorealis for this date in last year's ADVENT24 #ANSIart #AdventCalendar.

ADVENT24/23_DEC24

Mistigram: Last chance to get your doomscrolling quota for the rest of the year out of the way before, like Santa, you tamp it all down and kick the holidays into high gear!  LDA drew this moody screen for this date in last year's ADVENT24 #ANSIart #AdventCalendar.

ADVENT24/22_DEC24

Mistigram: "I think there must be something wrong with me, Linus. Christmas is coming, but I'm not happy. I don't feel the way I'm supposed to feel." This alienated scene from 1965's #ACharlieBrownChristmas was adapted by Cthulu for this date in last year's ADVENT24 #ANSIart #AdventCalendar. (Good grief!)

ADVENT24/21_DEC24

Mistigram: I mobilized our artists for the next pack, but have a nagging feeling that I forgot something... oh no, Kevin!!  Ah, I'm sure he's fine.  Not like he's #homealone!  This screen was drawn by @consolejockey for this date in last year's ADVENT24 #ANSIart #AdventCalendar.

ADVENT24/20_DEC24

Mistigram: Santa works hard and plays hard, and is expected to remain at the beach right up until the last possible minute, because Vitamin D is in short supply at the North Pole. This screen was drawn by LDA for this date in last year's ADVENT24 #ANSIart #AdventCalendar.

ADVENT24/19_DEC24

Mistigram: a twist on a classic seasonal formula, this red-and-green sprig of #holly -- #yauponholly, North America's only indigenous caffeinated plant -- was drawn by Moth for this date in last year's ADVENT24 #ANSIart #AdventCalendar.

ADVENT24/18_DEC24

Mistigram: this portrait of an impish goblin partaking in a little seasonal five-finger discount from a purveyor of holiday dross was drawn by the Green Herring for this date in last year's ADVENT24 #ANSIart #AdventCalendar.

ADVENT24/17_DEC24

Mistigram: LDA turned Cthulu pressuring people for vintage computer art into a holly jolly ugly Christmas sweater design, drawing this eye-popping illustration for this date in last year's ADVENT24 #ANSIart #AdventCalendar.

ADVENT24/16_DEC24

Mistigram: Kanto experiences freezing temperatures at this time of year. If you're cold, they're cold - bring your #Pokemon inside! This illustration of a chilly Caterpie and Venonat bundled up was drawn for this date in last year's ADVENT24 #ANSIart #AdventCalendar by Mothnox.

ADVENT24/15_DEC24

Mistigram: now where did he find that?  For this date in last year's ADVENT24 #ANSIart #AdventCalendar, LDA drew us #TheMandalorian's #Grogu, aka #BabyYoda, enjoying a hot beverage (I'm guessing grog, you?) while dressed in a darling tiny Santa Claus outfit.

ADVENT24/14_DEC24

Mistigram: for this date last year, AdeptApril, SysOp of Storm BBS, drew this #HerrnhuterAdventsstern or #MoravianStar, a 26-pointed star part of German Christmas festivities.  It was included in last year's ADVENT24 #ANSIart #AdventCalendar.

ADVENT24/13_DEC24

Mistigram: this illustration of an unforgettable, impossible moment from #MrBean's Christmas dinner was drawn by LDA for this date in last year's ADVENT24 #ANSIart #AdventCalendar.  It also has a BBS door version, seen here live at Les Orchard's 0xDECAFBAD BBS at bbs.decafbad.com

ADVENT24/12_DEC24

Mistigram: when they hang the mistletoe on the #NCC1701D, #GeordiLaForge finally has a good excuse to kiss the hologram of #LeahBrahms, as in the #STTNG S3E6, "Booby Trap". Darkman Almighty drew the moment for this date in last year's ADVENT24 #ANSIart #AdventCalendar.

ADVENT24/11_DEC24

Mistigram: this jolly outdoor #ChristmasTree was drawn by LDA for this date in last year's ADVENT24 #ANSIart #AdventCalendar. The executable calendar has a BBS door version, and here it is served up by Jerry Reed's A-Net system at a-net-online.lol

ADVENT24/10_DEC24

Mistigram: for this date in last year's ADVENT24 #ANSIart #AdventCalendar, Moth drew this seasonal showdown between a cardinal and a blue jay over a frozen birdbath.  Demonstrating the calendar's availability as a BBS door, this display was captured from Funtopia BBS.

ADVENT24/09_DEC24

Mistigram: LDA shares with us this stark winter landscape, drawn for this date in last year's ADVENT24 #ANSIart #AdventCalendar. Both last and this year's editions of the calendar can function as BBS doors, and you can see it in effect at X-Bit BBS at https://x-bit.org/

ADVENT24/08_DEC24

Mistigram: The Green Herring drew this dancing polar bear rocking the disco carols (Boney M for sure!) for this date in last year's ADVENT24 #ANSIart #AdventCalendar, whose forked release as a BBS door is here demonstrated live on BlaZZZe's BBS The Penalty Box at thepenaltybox.org

ADVENT24/07_DEC24

Mistigram: LDA drew this anguished #snowman, melting in unimaginable agony, for this date in last year's ADVENT24 #ANSIart #AdventCalendar, whose forked release as a BBS door is here demonstrated live on Martin Kazmaier's Shurato's Heavenly Sphere BBS at shsbbs.net
