Mistigram: and here is its response. Rarely was the quid pro quo of the artscene economy laid more bare - this is an #ANSIart logo drawn by Praxus for Grim Reaper’s #BBS Skull Duggery, also released in the MIST0296 artpack collection, in trade for the previous image. In earlier years, underground computer artists might have exchanged their services for the avails of criminal activity - warez, long distance calling cards, hardware bought through credit card fraud - but this late in the game about the only thing you could buy with underground computer art was someone else’s underground computer art. Both being released in the same artpack, you wouldn’t even be reaching new audiences with the BBS ad! The flipside of being a locally based crew is that while you enjoyed a tight community, it was a bit of a fishbowl. http://ift.tt/2FGya4Y
