10 years ago, the PC underground computer art scene seemed to have run its course, a spent force mired in increasing technological obsolescence. Every year might see one release but not necessarily any more. Then some nostalgic artscene alumni decided to do something unprecedented, picking up the #ANSIart mantle after long since putting it down, seemingly for good, renewed with mature and modern design sensibilities. The name of the crew was @blocktronics, and this month they celebrated 10 years since forming with the release of a giant and substantial artpack commemorating the occasion. It included guest appearances by members of other crews, and hey! Here I am, bombing their artpack with a ridiculous lit - perhaps the first ever appearing in their collections! - built around incredible, preposterous rhymes I simply couldn’t resist. (Now let’s listen to some EuphoniX!) Thanks to, I think, @whazzit_b7 and Avg for whipping up the ANSI art frame on short notice and giving me a chance to take part. Mistigris salutes Blocktronics - make sure to follow them here on Instagram! https://ift.tt/2wx35yA
