 Mistigram: Platinum drew this (freshly-squeezed) #ANSIart logo in promotion of Wishbringer's BBS "Juice". It was included in the Mistigris World Tour stop with Fistful of Steel in the FOS-0197 artpack collection released 29 years ago this month.

Today on Mistigram, this dense little Mistigris ANSI art logo by Platinum, included as part of a “colly” in our June 1995 artpack. It can be hard cramming all of the letters in at the best of times, and here he pulled it off with room to spare!

Today on Mistigram, this ANSI art one-panel comic strip which was used in the infofile of our Mistigris World Tour appearance with Fire in April of 1997. It was drawn by our resident font specialist Platinum, and we’re glad to also be sharing it with you today.

We’ve enjoyed recent looks at two of the varying meanings of “Mistigris” – cats, jokers – but thus far we’ve largely overlooked the most straightforward reading of our most typical abbreviation: Mist. Or, if you prefer, fog, haze, vapour, smog… miasma. But we have some pillowy billows of it here on this ANSI art logo, drawn by Mist Classic fontist extraordinaire Platinum, for our 2014 reunion / revival artpack… assuredly the first ANSI art he’d drawn in this century. Memory may grow foggy, but we refuse to get lost in the mists of time!

Platinum (briefly Bleak) made his mark on Mistigris Classic for years, lingering in the eaves as an ANSI logo specialist, endlessly experimenting with different approaches and new effects. In today’s specimen from Mistigram, he laid the logo on an ASCII art bed, then superimposed a pair of virtual triangular prisms on the ANSI font like a pair of sunglasses lenses, lending everything on the other side of it a smoky appearance.
