Mistigram: @horsenburger shares this harrowing #teletext account of misdeeds in a town where he used to live. “6th May 2013, Julian was enjoying a night out at Elements Nightclub in Bedford (UK). They were asked to leave, but when Julian demanded a refund he was taken down by a bouncer and then again by police officers. He was dragged into the police van where he suffered severe injuries including a broken neck and damage to his spine. He was not taken to hospital but to the local police station where the officer showed "inhuman indifference to his welfare”. Only when he suffered cardiac arrest did they take him to the local hospital. Julian has been left in a vegetative state and will always require 24 hour care.
There were no criminal charges brought to the officers involved but in 2018, 3 police officers involved were found guilty of lying in a tribunal and were dismissed, a 4th was given a final warning.
